I am fortunate. I find joy in the ordinary and not so ordinary. I stop many times during the day and revel in the seemingly insignificant details of the world: A stuffed Mickey Mouse hand sticking out of a garbage can (smile), the endless pieces of discarded furniture, shadows of trees, reflections in windows and in water, leaves of red and orange and yellow and gold and green and brown. They hang from their trusted branch, they fall, they die. This I can depend on. Refreshing, since there are countless other things in my life that are chaotic, unreliable, undependable. I suppose it all balances out. Yes, I am fortunate. Julieeinstein.com
